Challenge

Tasked with developing the Google Cloud Innovators program at Article Group, our mission was to create a distinctive identity. The program’s standards include a rich collection of templates, foundational assets, and design principles, ensuring consistency for Google Cloud marketers and other Cloud organizations. These guidelines provide a fresh design perspective, defining innovation as the program evolves.

Solution

As the creative force behind the program, I envisioned a brand that stands out within the Google ecosystem. To achieve this, I constructed a unique and recognizable system within the broader Google brand framework. The brand’s foundation mark symbolizes a diverse community of coders, embodying the essence of the coding brackets that form its core. This mark serves as a versatile foundation for creating patterns applicable to various media formats.

The result is a simple, conceptual, and flexible system that will evolve seamlessly with the Innovators brand. Key accomplishments include:

• Creation of the entire program’s visual identity system from inception.
• Design and launch of all initial assets into the market.
• Establishment of comprehensive program style standards for internal and external use.
